About Grant Jones: Director of Empower Coaching

[Grant Jones]

Prior to 1992 I was a secondary and tertiary teacher, which enabled me to develop my skills in teaching, coaching, communicating, planning and organising.

Between 1993-1997 and 2002-2003 I was working in the training and development field with a government department in Wellington, New Zealand and with a private training provider in a senior capacity.

I started my own business in training and development in 1998 focusing on working with private providers of training programmes. This enabled me to develop and refine my skills in business communication and strategies, programme development and coaching organisations to be more successful. I also worked with a number of individuals providing personal/life coaching.

My passion for working with individuals as a personal coach and with individuals and small groups in a business setting increased during this time, and in early 2004 I completed formal training with Coach U Australasia, a worldwide organization and the largest providing professional training for coaches).

I am a registered member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and I abide by their Code of Ethics. I am an active member of the Wellington chapter of ICF.
